Holder Construction Company - Atlanta , Georgia

1977 - 1987

Upon graduation from the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Mr. Landrum joined Holder Construction Company in the position of Project Engineer.  In 1979, he was assigned as on-site Project Manager for construction of the International Terminal at the new Atlanta Airport Midfield Complex. Promoted to Senior Project Manager in 1982 and Vice President in 1983, Mr. Landrum headed one of two Construction Groups in the company. Group contract volume during this period exceeded $115 million on a wide range of projects throughout the southeast for clients such as Delta Air Lines, Reliance Electric, and Cox Communications. In 1985, as on-site Project Director / Senior Vice President, Mr. Landrum was responsible for construction of a $109 million expansion of The Coca-Cola Company World Headquarters. This project consisted of a 22-story office building, reception center, employee center, and parking deck totaling 1.5 million square feet.          

The Conlan Company - Marietta , Georgia

1987-1993

In 1987, Mr. Landrum co-founded The Conlan Company, a commercial general contracting firm, and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for six years. He was primarily responsible for all project management and general business operations. During this time, the company averaged $14.5 million in annual volume constructing industrial, office, medical, and special use facilities. The company grew rapidly from two to eighteen salaried employees and remains a strong and highly regarded presence in the local construction market. Since 1991, it has been ranked among the Top 25 General Contractors in the metropolitan area by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

CM Associates - Atlanta , Georgia

1993 - Present        

Mr. Landrum, in 1993, joined with Paul R. Parker to form CM Associates, a firm specializing in comprehensive construction management and owner representation services. Other areas of expertise include historic renovation, adaptive reuse, claims avoidance, project recovery, and surety consulting. The firm performs work for clients such as the American Cancer Society, YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta, Atlanta Athletic Club, Pace Academy and Coffee Regional Medical Center . CM Associates is primarily engaged in representing project owner organizations lacking internal resources for management of extensive construction programs or requiring supplemental staff for specific complex projects.
